The Cardinals on Saturday announced that kicker Matt Prater did not travel with the team to Los Angeles Saturday, a day before the team faces the defending Super Bowl champion Rams at SoFi Stadium.
Prater remains questionable to play with an illness and nagging right hip injury. He could still arrive in time for the game and play. As insurance, the Cardinals signed kicker Tristan Vizcaino to the active roster. In a corresponding move not so surprising given how much time he has missed, center Rodney Hudson was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Hudson, a three-time Pro Bowler whose absence has been felt on the Cardinals' offensive line, will miss his sixth game of the season Sunday, and at least three more after that per NFL injury regulations. The Cardinals also activated safety Charles Washington from the injured reserve/designated for return list.
