GasBuddy is projecting that Thanksgiving gas prices for 2022 will be the highest they have ever been for the holiday.Everyone is complaining about the high cost of food, heating and gas prices.
According to GasBuddy, the national average gas price is projected to be $3.68 on Thanksgiving Day – almost 30 cents higher than last year and more than 20 cents higher than the previous record of $3.44 set in 2012. Even though more people are saying they will travel for the holiday - 62% of Americans said they are not planning on a road trip for Thanksgiving.
GasBuddy data also shows most people travel only one to three hours from home for Thanksgiving and almost three-quarters of Americans don’t cross state lines.
