Environment and Climate Change Canada meteorologist Steven Flisfeder said on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday, Toronto will see snow collect for the first time this winter.

Toronto residents can expect to see snow-dusted rooftops as winter sets in across southern Ontario this week.triggered weather warnings as snow squalls reduced visibility and made Toronto roads slippery.

“Later today and tomorrow is going to be the first time that a large portion of southern Ontario actually sees an accumulation of snow on the ground.” There is a potential for snowfall amounts to exceed 10 centimetres in some areas in what the weather agency is calling the “first significant snowfall of the season.”

Flisfeder rush hour might be harder to navigate as drivers adapt to snow on the roads. Flisfeder said flurries that reduce visibility were not likely until early Wednesday morning.on Tuesday morning, with snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 centimetres and poor visibility for drivers due to heavy snow.“Please slow down and drive to the conditions,” the tweet said, “use caution when approaching intersections.
