Forecasters from AccuWeather say travel conditions could get bad across the Northeast

If any snow does accumulate in our region, it would likely be in the state’s far northwestern corner, according to the latest forecast maps issued by AccuWeather.and linger into Friday — could still bring heavy rain and strong gusty winds, forecasters said, along with messy road conditions for drivers and travel delays for airline passengers during what will likely be a busy travel weekend ahead of Hanukkah and Christmas.

“A storm will develop near southeastern Virginia on Thursday, track just off the New Jersey coast on Friday and finally spin near southeastern New England on Saturday,” AccuWeather meteorologist Mary Gilbert said in a forecast update Monday afternoon. “Rain is the most likely form of precipitation in the Interstate 95 corridor from Boston to New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.,” AccuWeather said.
