Tourism Minister Steve Crocker.- David MaherST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Provincial Tourism Minister Steve Crocker is taking some time away from his government duties as he recovers from emergency surgery this past weekend.

Premier Andrew Furey announced Monday that Service NL Minister Sarah Stoodley will take on Crocker’s duties as tourism minister while he recovers. Additionally, Justice Minister John Hogan will serve as government house leader in Crocker's absence.Opposition Leader David Brazil wished Crocker a quick recovery.

"There is no greater priority than our own health and safety and I’m hopeful Minister Crocker will be back to good health before long," said Brazil."My thoughts are with his family and friends as they navigate the road ahead and support his recovery.""Our health is of the utmost importance and should come before all else, and we wish him and his family all the best,” said Dinn.
