The north of Glasgow doesn’t have enough active travel routes.

Plans to build more cycle paths in the north and south of Glasgow are moving closer as councillors prepare to accept £2.1 million in funding.

More paths could focus on areas including Cowlairs, Lambhill, Possilpark and Springburn among others. It is all part of the huge 270km cycle path and footway City Network plan, which will see almost everyone in Glasgow live within a few minutes easy cycling of a route by 2031. As well as the money going to the cycling plans for the north and inner south areas of Glasgow, £590,000 would be spent on a route map for the City Network cycling ways. And £180,000 would be allocated to concept designs for the Yorkhill to Anderston liveable neighbourhood plan.

It doesn’t? There are bus and cycle lanes ALL OVER GLASGOW. So why does it need MORE!

Yeah, because cyclist need more space! They already have half of Pollok! Question: If a car driver gets 3 points for being within 1.5m of a cyclist, how many points does a cyclist get for being within 1.5m of a car?
