Logdoa was hoping Gonzaga would win, but will cheer for UConn in the final game.Though Tami Morris lives just a few hours away from Houston, it wasn’t until the Final Four that she actually planned a trip and visited.

“This has been on my bucket list and my kids bought me this as a present to come down here for the Final Four,” Morris said. Friday through Monday the convention center became the home of Fan Fest and Friday through Sunday the Discovery Green hosted March Madness Music Festival. That wasn't a problem for Morris. Her favorite part of Fan Fest was the games that involved shooting baskets and said there were fewer people at Fan Fest on Monday, which meant shorter lines.

“We definitely saw people who were coming to hang out to enjoy the camaraderie and the environment and really just catch the game rather than pay top dollar to be ,” Duckworth said.Hotels had to do the same. D’Rovencourt said the NCAA reserved a big block of rooms and a lot of people have been there for Final Four related business.
