CarTrawler, the Irish travel tech firm which was rescued with an emergency €100 million financing deal during the pandemic, is set to be sold again in the coming months, the Business Post has learned.
TowerBrook, a British private equity group, took control of CarTrawler in return for a €100 million cash injection in 2020 after the business was thrown into debt restructuring talks amid Covid-19 travel restrictions.
CarTrawler deserves more flowers for the impact they've had on the Irish startup ecosystem and global travel industry. 💐 That aside, everyone I worked with from there over the years has not only been kick ass, but an absolute pleasure to deal with. Great 🇮🇪 company. 💯 Kudos
