The ProPublica article documented how Justice Thomas and his wife, conservative activist Ginni Thomas, have gone on several luxury trips involving travel subsidized by and stays at properties owned by Republican Party megadonor Harlan Crow.
I was OK with the boxes of cigars, $4K bottles of wine, frequent flights on private jets to exclusive resorts and trips on private yachts, half million dollar donations to Ginni's political causes, but for me, the private Indonesian scuba instructors was a bridge too far.
Whats one $500K all expenses paid vacation per year among friends? No big deal!

Every major company & Fortune 500 requires annual biz ethics training. I just went through mine for '23, last week. It clearly covers gifts, trips, etc... Any conflict of interest must be reported. A justice on our highest court feigning ignorance of the law is absurd.

There is no conflict of interest as JT was not in a professional relationship with them. And, no previous disclosure rules existed.

Members of Congress can get a waiver on reporting travel expenses paid by personal friends. How many such waivers were requested. How many were issued. How many members of congress have reported travel paid for by friends. When were the reporting and waiver rules adopted.
Clarence Thomas needs to go. He cannot stay. He accepts luxurious gifts worth hundreds of thousands if not millions. His wife was an propagators and supporter of the attempted coup attempt by Trump. He has to go; credibility of the SCOTUS is at stake.
