In a statement released in Calabar on Friday, the ace broadcaster also asked the incoming government to practically revive tourism which he said has always been the bedrock of the state.

In the area of tourism, he noted that there was a time when people’s residences were converted to apartments for lodgers in Calabar when tourism was at its peak in the state.“Government and its agencies must think outside the box and create sustainable practical tourism initiatives to drive tourism all year round.

He also touched on the issue of local government autonomy, saying the time to allow its administration has come. He advised the state to stop running what he described as a back-pocket economy.
