United... United Airlines Holdings Inc. on Tuesday forecast second-quarter and full-year per-share profit that were well above expectations, buoyed by continued strong travel demand. United said it expects a sales gain of 14% to 16% for the second quarter. The midpoint, however, was a bit shy of FactSet estimates for a roughly 15.4% gain.
Shares crept 0.5% higher after hours. The results for United came after Delta Air Lines Inc. DAL last week pointed to strong demand for domestic and international travel.
