San Diego will now travel to Seattle to take on Major League Soccer's Sounders as part of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

San Diego Loyal SC extended their home undefeated streak with a 1-0 win against Tampa Bay Rowdies on Sunday at Torero Stadium.

Adrien Perez scored the game-winner while 16-year-old goalkeeper Duran Ferree earned his first career shutout in USL Championship play.Sunday’s match marked the first of three key games for the Loyal. On Wednesday, they’ll take on the Seattle Sounders of Major League Soccer in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, a take-all-comers tournament that pits amateur and professional clubs from across the country against each other.

Perez scored in the 42nd minute, when he used his left foot to get a shot past Tampa Bay goalkeeper Connor Sparrow. The goal was his first with the club; he has played three games in San Diego.
