As the Met Gala celebrates the late fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld this week, the legendary Chanel designer has a new project opening next month—is preparing to open in June. Part of the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort, the new Lagerfeld hotel features 271 rooms and suites designed by Kaiser Karl in a modern Chinoiserie style with plenty of opulent touches. The hotel also has a spa and a Book Lounge with more than 4,000 volumes.

Remember all those airline cancellations and delays last summer? How about those charming long lines and that mountain of lost luggage? Well, don’t get your hopes up for this summer. According to veteran Forbes travel reporter Suzanne Rowan Kelleher, the travel industry expects. The Transportation Security Administration expects 2023 summer air travel volumes to surpass pre-pandemic levels, and many of the problems that led to last year’s meltdown have not been resolved.
