Manchester United has confirmed that £55million summer signing Mason Mount will not be available for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest due to injury.
Forest travel to Old Trafford at the weekend for their third Premier League match of the season, as they look to build on a 2-1 win against Sheffield United in their last outing. Goals from Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood saw the Reds pick up their first three points of the campaign. Man United have won one and lost one of their opening two games of the season. The game also saw Mount pick up an injury in just his second appearance for the club after joining from Chelsea earlier in the summer. The England international has signed a five-year deal with United. The club have now confirmed that he will miss the next two games, starting with the clash against Forest. “Mason Mount is set to miss Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest due to an injury picked up in last weekend’s encounter with Tottenham Hotspur,” read a statement on the club’s official website.The 24-year-old had started both of United’s Premier League games so far this season.
