This Rawlins Cross restaurant has been a mainstay on the weekday breakfast scene with an ever-changing seasonal menu for over a decade.

And while the seasons may offer different ingredients in the frittata of the day , one item that doesn’t change is the Breakfast on a Bun , piled high with fried egg, cheddar cheese and a choice of Italian sausage patty, bacon or greens.Tuesday-Saturday 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.With a 10 a.m. opening time, The Ground’s Cafe in the Murray’s Garden centre is on the cusp of being brunch-y. But they get weekday breakfast points for being open seven days a week and for offering up a garden-focused menu.

There are lots of veggie options; the daily quiche offerings, like the carrot, pepper and zucchini or the Eastern Sandwich is a vegetarian sandwich with “ham,” eggs and cheese. The Grounds breakfast comes with two eggs, their famous buttermilk biscuits and home fries or a salad.The Mount Pearl Big Stop Restaurant serves up a diner-style breakfast all day long and is the classic choice for favourite plates — you know what you’re getting, and you know it’s going to be good.

Donovan’s offers a variety of “two eggs any style” options like the Traditional with two eggs, choice of breakfast meat, toast and home fries, along with eggs benedict , pancakes and omelettes , but there are a few trendier options like the Bacon Lover’s Breakfast Poutine with two eggs and bacon teetering over fries and topped with cheese curds, hollandaise sauce and green onion.

Even the classic offerings at Blue — think yogurt bowls, fish cakes and eggs, and grilled cheese — have been taken up a level. The French Toast , for example, is made with banana bread and topped with Screech walnut sauce, Chantilly cream and fruit.
