New York City mayor wants city to become first in U.S. to force employers to offer paid vacation

Jennifer Peltz, The Associated PressNEW YORK -- A debate over whether New York City should make a pioneering move to require paid vacation has both sides saying: Give me a break.

"Paid vacations would have helped," said Vasquez. "I actually think I would have been a much better employee because I wouldn't have been so burned out." "You can't weather every storm," says Casale, who said she stopped searching for a fourth location because she doesn't find the city conducive to expanding her business.

"They miss parent-teacher conferences, they miss school plays, they miss weddings, they miss family occasions, they miss funerals," de Blasio said in January. "We shouldn't have to argue that people have more than one reason that they need time," said Ellen Bravo, director of Family Values Γåò Work, a national network of paid sick leave campaigns.

That's so weird, cause I believe Canadian law mandates at least 2 weeks of paid vacation, depending on what province you live in.

Why are we watching nonsense in America when we have a PM and his minions attacking the “Rule of Law” that our Western Liberal Democracy is based on - democracy itself is under attack by Trudeau in Canada now and media wastes time on this, Distraction of the masses...?
