Garvey, a native of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, completed a degree in Information Technology at Sibugay Technical Institute before traveling the world in search of greener pastures.
Furthermore, Garvey completed a Hospitality Management course in Australia, where she met her husband. Upon her return to the Philippines, she established her own eco-tourist resort, Grandview Cottages, in Siaton, a beautiful coastal municipality in Negros Island. She now resides there with her husband and daughter.
