Red Bull Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg has insisted they can mix it with the best after drawing 2-2 with Bayern Munich.
Leipzig ultimately blew the chance to leapfrog the German giants, with Benjamin Sesko unable to get on the end of a cross in stoppage time to snatch all three points. Speaking after the game, Forsberg, now into his 10th season at the club, was disappointed but believes the result proved they can hang with Europe’s elite."It was a tough game," the midfielder said. "It's not always easy to see out a game when you're 2-0 up at half-time.
Goalkeeper Janis Blaswich was also left gutted by the result but remained focused on Man City in midweek. The 32-year-old got a hand to Kane’s 57th-minute penalty but could not keep the ball out.
