Transport strikes will affect tourist hotspots such as Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura

Airline Jet2 has warned travellers heading to the Canary Islands in October that they could face transport delays.

The strikes are set to start from today and will continue on a further 12 dates across the rest of the month. "Please allow plenty of time to travel to the airport and pass through the terminal. Check-in will close 40 minutes prior to your scheduled time of departure as all our flights are due to operate as scheduled. "
