A Limerick GAA club has distanced itself from reporters that an Under 14s team would travel to Portugal for a warm weather training camp after finding themselves at the centre of a social media storm.
After the reported images circulated on social media, a debate was sparked about the treatment and expectations of underage GAA players and Na Piarsaigh have since come out distancing themselves from the warm weather training camp. The club were supposedly meant to participate alongside fellow Limerick club Monaleen and their chairman Jim Canny told Limerick Live that the whole thing has been 'blown out of all proportion'.
