This sports field in Kingussie near Avimore has been flooded following downpours over the weekend A new weather warning has been issued for Scotland later this week as the country has already been battered with heavy rain and flooding. There’s no respite in sight for Scotland as despite amber and yellow rain warnings expiring on Sunday afternoon, a new yellow warning will come into force on Tuesday.

‘This may bring further impacts from flooding, including the disruption of travel, given the recent wet conditions.’ There has been significant travel disruption over the weekend as railway lines were flooded and practically turned into canals.
