Image: Shutterstock/135pixels Image: Shutterstock/135pixels THE DEPARTMENT OF Agriculture has launched a tender worth €80,000 for the provision of 75,000 pet passports.
The requirement for the EU pet passport applies to cats, dogs and ferrets with the legislation meaning that if you’re travelling between EU countries with any of these animals, you need a passport for it. With Brexit looming, the pet passport that Irish pet owners possess should be sufficient in the event of a Brexit deal making its way through parliament in the short term.
Another strange eu 'rule' open borders mean you can drive around mainland Europe and never be asked to produce your pets passport so why does it apply to ferry travel uk/ireland
Think that after reading this, it is for the printing of Pet Passports, not issuing them. Surely a normal passport would suffice
How many people go on holidays with a ferret !!
This should be done by our own post office .
