Lonely Planet’s newly released Best In Travel 2024 book lists the top ten countries, regions and cities to visit next year, reportsMongolia was named the best place to visit in 2024. Photo: canvaThe publication said that it awarded Mongolia the top spot in the country ranking as the country had much to offer.
“For seekers of wide-open spaces, adventures and culture, Mongolia has much to offer. The capital is teeming with people and unique attractions. Squeezed between Russia and China, Mongolia seems hard to reach given recent geopolitical events in its two large neighbors. But Mongolia’s doors are open and a tourism campaign has eased visa restrictions through 2025.” Lonely Planet said.The second spot was given to colourful India for its temples, Himalayan peaks and incredible food.
