From the border with Canada down to Twin Falls, the duo soak up the visual splendor of the region, capture some epic photos, enjoy its incredible food, and meet the wonderful people that call the state home.
The next morning, the team traversed to the town of McCall on the shores of Payette Lake. The lake, however, is not what they came for. No, they instead hopped into an all-terrain Polaris RZR and into the mountains, slowed only by a giant sheep traffic jam. Some of my most vivid memories of the trip involve the insane beauty of the landscape. Idaho, at least the regions we drove through, is incredibly mountainous and while the roads tended to sweep in and around them, we were almost always surrounded by staggeringly beautiful cliffs, rugged hillsides, and expansive forests.
I don’t think that I’ve ever taken part in a project that had this diverse of subject matter. Chris photographed landscapes, portraits, food, and wildlife. He experienced events both indoors and out, and some of the most beautiful natural light I’ve ever seen.
