The West Australian government has released artist impressions of a multi-million-dollar bridge for cyclists and foot traffic across the Swan River in Perth, set to host colourful detailed displays.The WA government has unveiled designs for a $100m pedestrian bridge connecting Victoria Park to the Perth CBD along the Swan River.The WA Premier Roger Cook said it would become a major attraction.
“A new canvas created that will be able to project images of Western Australia to tourists,” Ms Saffioti said.Ms Saffioti said there wouldn’t be political messages or business advertising."We’ve had tests in relation to the visibility and what’s going to be shown," she said. The first bridge module, constructed at Henderson, had now been put in place from the Victoria Park side, with 15 more modules to go.Construction work was continuing every day of the week with the state government expecting the whole project to be completed before the end of the year.The Federal member for Swan, Zaneta Mascarenhas, described the project as a “fantastic example” of West Australian “engineering know-how”.
