The top distillery tour in Scotland was crowned earlier this week at a prestigious award ceremony dubbed the 'the Oscars of tourism', with a renowned Highlands distillery taking home the prize.

Scotland's top whisky distillery tour has been crowned as part of a prestigious award ceremony dubbed 'the Oscars of tourism'.

Located along the iconic North Coast 500 route and accessible by bus or train from Inverness, the visitor attraction offers a range of experiences to visitors. These include its Malt to Cask Tour, which offers guests a chance to explore onsite drum maltings, and The Singleton Distillery Tour that features a guided introduction to the distillation process and even a tasting of three unique malts.

Brand Home Manager at The Singleton of Glen Ord Distillery Leigh Aitken commented: "To be named as Scotland’s Leading Distillery Tour by one of the biggest tourism award bodies in the world is such an honour. As an official partner of the North Coast 500, and one of the closest single malt distilleries to Inverness we look forward to welcoming even more people into the Highlands to try out our award-winning whisky experiences.

More information can be found on the Singleton of Glen Ord website. Meanwhile, the full list of winners at the World Travel Awards 2024 can be found on its website.
