Most parts of the warning area will see 15-25 mm of rain, the Met Office said

The Met Office has issued a weather warning covering parts of Northern Ireland. The yellow alert for rain will come into force at 6pm on Tuesday, March 26, and will remain in place until 6am on Wednesday, March 27.

The Met Office said: "Persistent rain bringing some impacts to travel and infrastructure overnight and for a time Wednesday."The forecaster added: "Rain, becoming heavy at a times across east-facing parts of the Mournes and Antrim Plateau, will push north across Northern Ireland this evening, clearing to the north by dawn tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the outlook for Easter weekend suggests some drier and clearer spells although interrupted by showers or longer spells of rain and fresh winds at times Thursday to Saturday. Temperatures edging upwards.
