One Scottish city has been named among the "best alternative places" in the world to see cherry blossoms this spring.
An article by The Times details nine of the top destinations across the planet where cherry blossoms can be found. One of these is Edinburgh in Scotland. While cherry blossoms can be found dotted around the city, the most well-known place to find them is the Meadows park. The Meadows is the perfect spot for a picnic when the sun is shining, and this is especially true when you are surrounded by breathtaking shades of pink and white.
Other spots in Edinburgh that you are likely to find cherry blossoms this spring include St Andrew Square, Canongate Kirk, and St Bernard's Crescent in Stockbridge. Part of the fun is discovering them for yourself, though, making late-April the perfect time for a walk around the capital.
