Singaporeans are spending more on longer holidays and more exotic destinations.

SINGAPORE – The breathtaking beauty of the Aegean Sea beckons. Come April, I will be packing my bags to Santorini and other Greek islands.

Travel agencies reported brisk sales. For example, Chan Brothers Travel said its performance at Natas Travel 2024 has outpaced the results achieved at Natas Travel 2023 by 30 per cent. China and Europe are perennial favourite destinations. “This reflects Singaporeans’ desire for travel and the trend of planning holidays in advance,” he added. “At the same time, we have also observed that more Singaporeans are inclined towards longer periods of in-depth travel.”
