Hard work paid off this year for the San Antonio Zoo, which was just named the best in the state once again by the Texas Travel Awards. 2024 is the third year in a row that the zoo has earned the title from the Texas Travel Awards. It received the same honor from Readers Digest and Blooloop in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
'This prestigious award belongs to our dedicated Zoo Crew and to our community,' zoo President and CEO Tim Morrow said on social media. Future plans for the zoo include a new gorilla habitat called Congo Falls and expansion of the existing savannah habitat.
