At the start of the video circulating on social media, a group of 14 to 15 people can be seen holding a large sheet as the baby is seen lying face down on the metal roof of a second-floor apartment.

State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew said her ministry, through its agency Sabah Tourism Board , is following up on the incident involving 64-year-old Chinese tourist Xue Dong Yuan in Lohan, Ranau, on April 22.

According to STB, Ma Chong and Joanne Wong from the Chinese Consul General office, as well as Aboni Loong and Florence Gom from the STB, visited the patient at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 at about 10am on Monday . According to Liew’s statement, the Chinese Consul General Office and STB facilitated translation between the patient's family and Sabah ground handlers to discuss compensation for the patient's injury.
