Two suspects, wanted for the murder and robbery of an elderly couple at a farm in Glen were arrested in Bloemhof.
On Friday 10 May 2024 at about 14:00, Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes unit received intelligence led information on the whereabouts of the wanted suspects responsible for the gruesome murders of the Morrison elderly couple. The team, working together with Welkom Tactical Response Team, proceeded to a guesthouse in Bloemhof at 23:00 where the two males, aged 39 and 26, were arrested. In possession of the suspects were two cellphones belonging to the two victims.
The two will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court soon for house robbery and two counts of murder of Mr Christo and Mrs Crista Morrison aged 76 and 73 respectively.
