THE US State Department has issued an updated travel advisory warning its citizens to take extreme precaution when travelling to Malaysia, especially to the state of Sabah, due to the high risk of abduction. The department released its revised list on Tuesday, where advisory levels for 35 countries were amended to include a “K” indicator for the “risk of kidnapping and/or hostage taking”.
