President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Friday disclosed the government's plan to further promote diving destinations in Region I. ''We are now planning to --- here in Region 1, planning to reassess, to promote the various dive destinations naman the provinces such as Pagudpud, Badoc, and Currimao,'' Marcos said in his speech during the inauguration of tourist rest area in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.
" Marcos also said there is the continued engagement of local government units, the Department of Tourism, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in the conservation of protected areas such as the Kalbario–Patapat Natural Park.When it comes to preserving the cultural legacy of Ilocos Norte, concerned agencies are also developing the Ilocos and Pangasinan Regional Historical Trail, Marcos said.
