Passengers are jetting off from Manchester to destinations across the world, including Dublin, Tenerife and Dubai

Manchester Airport is bracing itself for a bumper half term with around a million passengers expected to pass through the northern travel hub over the coming week. Holiday favourites Tenerife, Antalya and Dubai are among the most popular destinations.

This half term passengers are jetting off to locations across the world, including city breaks in Dublin and Amsterdam. Top destinations for travellers include Spanish favourites Mallorca, Tenerife and Malaga; Antalya and Dalaman, both in Turkey; and Dubai, which serves as a connecting hub for destinations in the Far East, as well as a holiday hotspot in its own right.

Manchester Airport Managing Director Chris Woodroofe said: “The airport is always a wonderful place to be at this time of year – with excited families getting ready for half term getaways to any one of our 200 destinations.
