The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has warned Nigerians to be wary of authorized tour operators or travel agencies parading fake visas for the 2024 Hajj.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has warned Nigerians to be wary of authorized tour operators or travel agencies parading fake visas for the 2024 Hajj.

“In line with this, a similar message has been received by NAHCON through the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arab Abuja, disclosing the stand of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars on the matter. In the same letter received by NAHCON on May 22nd 2024, the Saudi Ministry of Interior similarly advised persons against “becoming victims of the several fictitious companies and fake accounts on social media who claim to be agents/ authorities to facilitate Hajj using Umrah, Tourism, Work, Family Visit and other types of Visa at attractive rates.”

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun, says President Bola Tinubu`s economic reforms have substantially improved the Federal Government`s revenue.The House of Representatives Committee on Tertiary Education Trust Fund has directed First Bank of Nigeria and other Banks to appear before it alongside its Tax Consultant to reconcile the Education Tax Computation not remitted to TETFund by the banks between 2011 and 2022.
