Police have appealed for information after a three-car crash near Watford forced the A41 to close, causing travel chaos for several hours.

One person was taken to Watford General Hospital further care, although the extent of their injuries is not yet known.Hertfordshire Police have appealed for witnesses after a three-car crash left one person hospitalised and closed a major road.

A man and woman had to be cut from their vehicles after a red Hyundai Ioniq, white MG SUV and black Mercedes EQC 400Officers are still trying to determine the circumstances and have asked for information or footage that could aid the investigation. The incident forced police to close the major road, near Costco, in both directions for over an hour and the traffic backlog took until 4.30pm to clear.The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed that one person was taken to Watford General Hospital for further care. The exact nature of their injuries is unknown but they are not deemed life-threatening or life-changing, police said.
