“With any travel sport there are significant financial barriers,” said Bayne Heersink, president of HSV Webb.“We wanted to start an organization that was a lot more accessible for soccer, for our youth,” said Heersink.“As part of our way to break down those barriers, we’re able to provide training based on Argentinian soccer,” said Bayne Heersink.
This coaching has already paid off early, as they finished as the top team in Alabama for their league.“Odin used to play a lot of left defender,” said Dustin Richmond, Odin’s dad. “Now he can play midfielder and striker. To be able to master all those positions at his age is a testament to the extra training they give.”“The great thing about sports, there’s a lot of trials, fails and wins,” said Dustin.
