Phuket, Thailand The huge range of experiences, sights and tastes, make Phuket an ideal place to take a family. Kalkan is perfect for 12 – 18 year olds, as there’s plenty to do. Not many families with young children go to Kalkan, as the paths to the village are steep and there isn’t much for young kids to do. This means your teens can relax in a more ‘grown up’ destination.Okay, so this is a pricey holiday destination. But if you’ve got the money, and you’re willing to slog out the long flight with your young ones, the Maldives has some fantastic all inclusive resorts for the family.
The beaches are a hit with little ones, it’s very buggy friendly with long promenades and accessible streets, and the locals love kids. You can also take your tots to the zoo at Lagos and to Zoomarine at Guia. While some of the rollercoasters are out of bounds to your little ones, rides like the Ratatouille experience, a 4D ride through scenes from the film, are perfect for them. Disneyland is set to get very busy this year, so if you want to go, book well in advance.
