A travel advisory has been issued for Brits planning a trip to France, with potential disruption to flights and ferries due to looming industrial action. This advice is provided by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office who constantly monitor the risks of travel abroad to help British nationals make informed decisions.
The recently released warning comes at a time when ports and airports are facing the likelihood of industrial disruptions in the following month. The FCDO mentioned: "Throughout June, planned industrial action by port workers and air traffic control unions is expected to disrupt some ferry routes and flights across France, with some routes and flights diverted or cancelled. Check your operator's advice before travelling, including where you are taking connecting flights.
Brits intending to travel to any EU country , or to Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, or Vatican City, must adhere to the Schengen area passport requirements. This stipulates that your passport should have been issued less than 10 years before your entry date into the country and remain valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure date, reports Birmingham Live.
