Chair quits scandal-hit Welcome to Yorkshire as his replacement promises more openness

The Yorkshire tourism body – whose chief executive paid back a reported £40,000 in apparently misclaimed expenses after his abrupt departure – has agreed to let investigators examine all expense claims over the past six years.

This is worth keeping an eye on. I always thought the Tour de Yorkshire stuff was part and parcel of Verity's personal branding campaign. How fitting he got his knighthood only to have to resign later.
