An Aer Lingus chief has warned of “significant” disruption to passengers travelling with the airline this summer amid the possibility of industrial action.
Although Aer Lingus has requested that a 15-day notice period be given in the event of any industrial action to minimise disruption to any passengers, keeping in line with practices of airlines abroad during strikes. "IALPA appear to be absolutely determined to inflict the disruption of industrial action on the travelling public this summer,” Donal Moriarty, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer with Aer Lingus told RTÉ's Morning Ireland.
"However, it will be significant. The challenge at this time of year is that all airlines are busy, not just Aer Lingus, and seeking to re-accommodate passengers on other airlines is difficult."
