The airport has advised passengers not to travel to terminals 1 and 2 after the outage.

All flights from two terminals at Manchester Airport have been grounded after a "major power cut" caused massive queues and hampered baggage processing.

Passengers scheduled to leave from these terminals were instructed not to come to the airport and to reach out to their airlines for current details. There were reports of passengers boarding planes only to find their checked-in bags had not made it onboard. EasyJet extended apologies for the inconvenience caused by these disruptions, albeit they are beyond their control, stating: "We are doing all we can and working closely with the airport team to minimise the disruption."
