A major bus operator's zero-emission buses have travelled a record 10 million miles.This milestone by McGill’s Bus Group has contributed significantly to environmental sustainability by preventing 11,270 tonnes of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere, the equivalent of planting around 1.3 million trees across an area the size of 2,784 football pitches.The bus operator has invested £55 million in more than 110 zero-emission buses and their associated infrastructure.

"That compares to just 10 percent of buses being electric in London which is a phenomenal milestone for our company."The electric buses feature USB charging points at every seat and offer quieter, smoother rides.
