Last week, the Land Transportation Office announced its plan to implement the “No plate, No Travel” policy on July 1, 2024, specific to tricycles in Quezon City. This is after the agency successfully turned over 3,000 license plates in backlog for tricycle drivers in the city.
“We appeal to car dealerships to distribute the license plates to their clients the soonest possible time since there are no more backlogs to the license plates of four-wheel vehicles,” said LTO Assistant Secretary, Atty. Vigor Mendoza II. “We also extend the same appeal to the motor vehicle owners. They must claim their license plates from their respective dealers and immediately install them to their vehicles,” added Mendoza.
