Municipalities and townships across the midstate are gearing up to celebrate the 4th of July holiday with concerts, fireworks displays and more.Pennsylvania is gearing up to celebrate Independence Day 2024.
The borough will host its annual fireworks display on Thursday, July 4 at Veterans Stadium in Shippensburg Memorial Park.Note: Due to staff shortages, the stadium will be open for viewing but there will be no concession stands or games. Families are encouraged to pack a picnic or bring snacks and beverages of their own — or even bring a football or frisbee to throw inside the stadium as they enjoy the evening.
Food and craft vendors will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be live music all day, with fireworks after sunset.at Community Park. There will be food trucks on hand beginning at 5:30 p.m., an outdoor showing of"The Wonka Movie" at 8:30 p.m., and fireworks beginning at 10:15 p.m.Stone Gables Estate will host an Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 4 at the Star Barn Village, 1 Hollinger Lane.
The borough's 207th Fourth of July Celebration will be held Thursday, July 4 at Lititz Springs Park. Parking is available at Dover High School, Dover Middle School, Station 6 in the Borough, Dover Elementary School, Ketterman Park and Lehr Park.The annual Jacobus Blast will be held Thursday, July 4 at the Jacobus Community Park, 1 S. Pleasant Ave.
