Aer Lingus and IALPA will attend separate meetings over the pilot pay dispute today following invites by the Labour Court. The latest bid to end the dispute was welcomed by Taoiseach Simon Harris. The Fine Gael leader said: “These meetings provide an opportunity to try to make progress and ensure the travelling public are not further affected by this dispute.
The Labour Economic Forum is made up of the most senior representatives from the Government, employers, and trade unions. During the meeting yesterday, the Taoiseach urged both sides to get back round the table in a bid to resolve the matter and to avert any further distress and disruption. Despite the development, the scheduled work-to-rule is still set to begin tomorrow .
