Take a trip into Barcelona and you are immediately faced with a practical question: how do you navigate your way round the swarming
“What do you expect at the height of summer?” I hear you say: The thing is that in Barcelona, tourism never sleeps. The visitors keep coming 365 days per year. And wherever and whenever you go, there are tourists trundling those cases, looking for their Airbnbs. Hey, I was once one of those tourists too. But the trouble is, tourism is eating Barcelona alive. Go out for a meal and you will see the problem. While restaurants milk tourists for a lot of money, the quality is not what it was. It seems a symbol of a city which has lost sight of what made it great.Of course, “fine dining” still exists. But unless you know how to jump the huge waiting list and are willing to pay €250 for dinner, you will be very unlikely to eat out.
