Supporters have been asked by Leeds United to stay away from their pre-season camp in Germany next month with police on leave after Euro 2024. The Whites will travel to Daniel Farke’s homeland in July for training and friendlies before the new season, but their warm-up games will be played behind closed doors.
United will travel over after the tournament, when police will start to take holidays, leaving resources too scarce to marshal their friendlies. The Whites insist they are as frustrated as fans will be with this news and unsuccessfully tried to overturn the decision since it came to light.
Games in Germany could yet be streamed online for fans to watch, but, the only opportunities to now watch Leeds in person this summer, will be at Harrogate Town and at home to Valencia. Those friendlies take place on July 19 and August 3.
