All domestic and international flights at South Korea's Incheon International Airport faced severe delays after trash-filled balloons launched by North Korea caused significant disruption.The latest string of balloons launched by North Korea triggered travel chaos as flights came to a halt. Landings and departures were delayed by roughly three hours after North Korea launched balloons filled with refuse.
However, some North Korean balloons have been filled with worn-out clothing and soil containing traces of human feces, South Korea has said.Earlier this month Pyongyang vowed to continue sending trash balloons over the border to South Korea if anti-North Korea leaflets were flown from the South.Dozens of balloons with trash attached were discovered in the region as tensions remain high between both countries.
